The Flowergirl

Hello, I’m Clare, born Scottish, been in beautiful Perth Australia for 16 years now. Pretty much obsessed with all things botanical, I studied countryside management and worked briefly as a ranger. Fencing I found boring so ended up in flower shops and later found myself working in The Ritz hotel in London as a florist.

I’ve had my own retail florist in Scotland and since coming to Oz worked in various boutique flower stores before starting my own gig “The Flowergirl” out my garage in 2013. Lost count but probably done around 700 weddings and events of all styles. I have been so immersed in flowers forever and constantly study new techniques so I know what works and what doesn’t.

These days I work from home again after renting a base camp in Wangara for a few years.

I’m taking a break from weddings during 2022-2024 to concentrate on my Pretty Dead Flowers workshops that have run since 2018.

In between the workshops, I will take commissions for workplace dried flower installations and sell through my website the odd creation.
